We are prepared to host wonderful Cacao to Chocolate School Retreats, Yoga Retreats and Spa packages. What a great gift for your loved ones.  We have a fantastic tranquil location for a natural getaway with many options: 

1. The Sand Bar which rims the Swimming Lagoon is an ideal location for partially immersed yoga practice & asanas,  or sunning with chairs in the water,  
2. Our Salt Water Swimming Lagoon is about 4' deep and can be used for water resistant exercise, floating, and hot afternoon water volleyball. (Please bring water shoes or better yet-dive booties which can double for snorkeling and/or diving),
3. The Colorful Coral Reef is easily accessible for snorkeling and seeing the variety of coral, fish, and sea life that live right here. The shallow water inside the reef is the nursery that protects the baby sea life and is home to corals, sponges, octopus, upside down snowflake jellys, sea cucumbers, starfish, crab, conch, urchins, sea grasses, mangrove, and many young fish. The outside reef has bigger everything and drops from 20'-+/-40' with a nice coral wall for exploring,
4. The small White Sand Beach provides a nice soft cushion for Yoga Practice, fun, and relaxation,
5. The Wooden Boat Dock is the parking area for our boats and has a swim ladder for entering the water outside the reef. It can also be used for yoga practice, meditation, and sun bathing,
6. The Villas Main Floor is a wonderful place for yoga meditation and practice when raining with the beautiful views of the sea, mountains, and jungle on natural hardwood flooring, 
7. Hill and Valley wide Jungle Trails are available for hiking, jogging, and exploring this beautiful working Rainforest Cacao (Chocolate) Plantation where you will see many species of birds, butterflies, reptiles, and plant life. 

In addition to the above, we offer to our guests, free use of our cayucos and the paddle boat. We rent snorkel gear and offer water skiing lessons and/or water skiing by reservation by the hour. Any boat taxi service or boat tours are at charge.

Please plan for sun, rain & insects as this is a Caribbean Tropical Rainforest and you will most likely experience it all. We suggest bringing sunscreen, beach towel, water boots/shoes, comfortable hiking shoes or mud boots and sandals, one lightweight long sleeve rain jacket w/hood, one pr light weight pants, insect repellent, hat, swim wear, shorts, tanks & T's, sarong, sundress, yoga attire and gear, snorkel gear (we are limited),flash light, book light, and any thing else that you feel you need.

Buy any special provisions, meals, snacks, drinks, etc in Bocas or Almirante before departure to Shepherd Island. There is no store on this island so come prepared as well as possible. There are full sized kitchens and refrigerators in all villas.

Parents Please note: We do not have childrens sized life vests or snorkeling gear. If you are bringing children, please bring these items as they are not locally accessible to buy.

Group Retreats are Limited to 25 guests staying onsite in our villas. For larger Retreats, we can house guests in nearby locations. Day passes are available for $45 which include onsite scheduled lunches, scheduled activities onsite, and scheduled yoga classes. Does not include costs of transportation, tours, or offsite meals. Three Day Onsite pass is at a savings at $120. Offsite Tour Day Passes are $75 per person and include lunch, transportation, and park fees with 24 hr advance reservation and deposit.

How To Get to Starfish Reef
From Bocas town or Almirante to Starfish Reef on Shepherd Island:
Go to Bocas Marine Tours Water Taxi Service located waterfront in both towns in a purple builcing with yellow trim. For a fee, they will bring you to our docks.

From Panama City, David, or San Jose, Costa Rica to Bocas Town
by Plane:

Non of this is guaranteed. Please check with airline for scheduling. At time of writing this, there is a per lb charge over 35 lbs of luggage. 

NEW! Taca Regional (http://www.tacaregional.com/) now offers flights out of Tocumen International in Panama to Bocas so you do not have to change airports and pay the taxi fee to get there. This is a much easier way to travel and saves you money.

From Panama City, David, Changuinola, or San Jose to Almirante by Bus, Taxi, or Rental Car (no rent car agencies in this area so if you drive down you must drive back). Your goal is to get to Bocas Marine Tours water taxi service in Almirante. It is a beautiful drive by car or bus from David through the mountains to Almirante. There are numerous waterfalls and incredible scenery. By bus is a safe, comfortable enough, no luggage restrictions, & cheap way to travel.
By Bus from Panama City to David & change buses in David to Changuinola. Exit bus in Almirante.

By Bus from San Jose to Changuinola and take bus to Almirante

From Changuinola to Almirante by Land:
